Calendar for the 2021 Chapel Hill Municipal Election
Voters can vote for up to 4 candidates in the 2021 Chapel Hill Town Council race.
ELECTION DAY
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2nd , 2021
Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Other election events and deadlines:
- October 3: Absentee by mail voting begins
- October 8: Last day to register to vote
- October 14 – 30: EARLY VOTING (see below for locations and times)
- October 26: Last day to request absentee ballot by 5:00 p.m.
- October 30: Last day to cast ballots during Early Voting – polls close at 3:00 p.m.
- November 2: Election Day – polls are open 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
- November 2: Absentee ballots are due by 5:00 p.m.
Same Day Registration is allowed during the Early Voting period.
All Same Day Registrants must bring a valid form of ID showing their correct name and current address.
